Egypt Best Vacations runs Egypt guided tours from our own office in Luxor, a short drive from Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. The company was founded by Essam Ali, a professional Egyptologist who still leads tours himself, and that shapes how every trip is built: the guide standing beside you at the Pyramids or inside a royal tomb has studied the history, not memorised a script.
We are a local operator, not an overseas agency reselling someone else’s trips. We trade under the legal name Standard Tours, hold Egyptian tourism licence no. 1082, and have won the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award three years running, in 2024, 2025 and 2026. Trips of two to six days run as private tours, with your own guide, driver and vehicle. Longer itineraries travel as small groups of no more than 16 guests, or privately if you prefer. Routes cover Cairo and the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel, Alexandria, the Red Sea and the Western Desert, with Nile cruises by ship, dahabiya or felucca.

Tours of two to six days are private. Tours of seven days and longer run as small groups of no more than 16 guests and can be booked privately on request. All luxury tours, Jordan tours and Egypt and Jordan tours are private.
Each tour page lists exactly what is included. Tour packages normally cover accommodation, airport transfers, transport in an air-conditioned vehicle, your guide, the entrance fees named in the itinerary, and domestic flights where the route uses them.

Send us an enquiry and we confirm the itinerary with you. A 25% deposit by secure online payment link or bank transfer secures the booking. When the balance is due depends on how far ahead you book, and we confirm it by email. Full details are in our terms and conditions.
Most visitors do. Many nationalities can buy a tourist visa on arrival for US$30. On tour packages, our representative meets you inside the arrivals hall and helps with the visa and passport formalities. Check the rules for your nationality before you travel.
Yes. On tours without domestic flights, children under 6 travel free and children aged 6 to 11 pay half. On packages with domestic flights, children under 3 pay 30%, ages 3 to 5 pay 40% and ages 6 to 11 pay 50% of the adult price.
October to April, when days are warm and evenings are cool. Christmas, New Year and Easter are the busiest weeks, so book those early. Summer is hot in Luxor and Aswan, and touring starts early in the morning to stay ahead of the heat.
The main tourist sites are well policed and receive millions of visitors a year. On a guided tour you travel with a local guide and driver who know the roads, the sites and the customs. Check your own government’s travel advice before you book.
