Private airport transfers, five-star hotels, a private licensed Egyptologist guide, all entrance fees to the sites on your itinerary, daily breakfast and selected meals, and support throughout your trip. Domestic Egyptian flights are included where the itinerary requires them. International flights are not included, but we can book them on request.
All of them are private. You never share a guide, a vehicle or a schedule with other travelers, and the itinerary belongs to your party alone. That means you set the start time each morning and stay as long as you like at the sites that interest you most.
They are star ratings, and the gap between them is real. We use a fixed scale: Standard is 3.5 stars, Deluxe is 4 stars, Ultra Deluxe is 4.5 stars, and Luxury is 5 stars. Egyptian operators frequently market a 4.5-star vessel as “5-star deluxe”, so it is always worth asking which scale a company is quoting from. Every hotel and ship on this page is Luxury tier.

On the Red Sea we use five-star resorts in Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh. Exact properties are confirmed when you book and depend on availability for your dates.
Two. Luxury cruise ships sail between Luxor and Aswan over four or five nights, with en-suite cabins, restaurant dining, a pool and a full sun deck. Dahabiya sailboats carry only four to eight cabins, move under sail rather than engine, and moor at small riverside sites the larger ships cannot reach. Ships suit travelers who want facilities and company; Dahabiyas suit travelers who want quiet.
Our luxury packages currently run from $1,140 per person in a triple room for a four-day tour to $5,350 per person for a fifteen-day itinerary. The final price depends on trip length, the number of travelers, your hotel and ship category, and the season you travel in. Every quote is itemized and fixed in writing before you pay.
Three to six months is comfortable for most trips. Book earlier for Christmas, New Year and Easter, and earlier still for any Dahabiya sailing — a Dahabiya has as few as four cabins, so a single family can fill half the boat. Late bookings are often possible outside those peaks; ask us and we will check availability for your dates.
October to April, when daytime temperatures in Luxor and Aswan are comfortable for a full day outdoors. May and September work well if you start early in the morning. June to August is genuinely hot inland, and is better suited to Red Sea itineraries or to a schedule built around early starts and afternoon rest.
Yes, on every itinerary that includes Cairo. Entrance fees and your private Egyptologist guide are included, and we schedule the visit for a quieter part of the day. The museum is large enough that a rushed hour is wasted — we allow half a day.
The main tourist areas — Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel and the Red Sea resorts — are well policed and see millions of visitors a year. Traveling privately removes most of the friction that visitors find tiring: you are met at the airport, driven door to door, and accompanied by a guide who handles tickets and logistics. Check your own government’s current travel advice before you book, as advisories are updated regularly.
