Yes. The Cairo Day Trip by Plane takes 10 to 12 hours and covers the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum, with lunch, from $375. The Cairo Tour by Bus costs from $140 but takes 22 to 24 hours, leaving your hotel around 01:00.
By plane if you have one day: the flight is about an hour, so your time goes on the sites. The bus is much cheaper, but the same-day trip means around 24 hours with a night on the road. If you choose the bus, the 2-day tour with a hotel night in Cairo is more comfortable.
Yes, by plane. The Luxor Day Trip covers the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple in 10 to 12 hours, with lunch, from $340. The overnight version spreads the same sites over two days from $450.
It is a long walk, not a technical climb. You start around 23:30 and reach the 2,285-metre summit for sunrise at about 05:00. The final section is roughly 750 rock steps. You need reasonable fitness, sturdy shoes and warm clothes, because the summit is cold before dawn.
No. The monastery receives visitors in the morning only and closes on some days for services and religious holidays. Our monastery tours run Monday to Friday, and we confirm your date when you book.
For St. Catherine and Mount Sinai, the free Sinai-only entry stamp is enough. For Cairo, Luxor and the Nile cruises you need the full Egypt tourist visa, which costs $30 on arrival. Ask for it at the airport when you land in Sharm.
Yes. The 3-night Aswan to Luxor cruise sails every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from $885, and the 4-night Luxor to Aswan cruise sails every Monday, Thursday and Saturday from $999. Both include return flights from Sharm El-Sheikh and full board on the ship.
The St. Catherine Monastery Tour and the trips by plane to Cairo and Luxor work well for families. The Mount Sinai night climb and the 24-hour Cairo bus trip are not recommended for young children. Children under 12 pay reduced prices on every trip.
