11 Day Egypt Tour Packages

Cairo, the Nile and the Red Sea in Eleven Days

Eleven Days in Egypt: What the Extra Two Days Buy You

Eleven days is where an Egypt trip stops being a highlights reel. Nine days gets you Cairo, Luxor and Aswan at a brisk pace. Our 11 day Egypt tour packages give you those same anchors with two days of slack — enough to add the Red Sea, swap a cruise ship for a dahabiya, or push west into the White Desert without cutting a temple to make room.

Eight itineraries run at this length, from $1,485 to $5,700 per person. Every one of them opens in Cairo and works south along the Nile. What changes is how you travel between Luxor and Aswan, and what you do with the days at either end.

    Fantastic

Great tour. Our guide Essam was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and articulated the tour well. Offering our group good advice on how to customize our tour based on our interests. He was sure to warn us on all potential scams aswell as unnecessary/non affiliated persons. He also went above by making our restaurant reservations for us.

Related FAQs About 11 Day Egypt Tour Packages

Most Asked Questions about 11 Day Egypt Vacation Packages

How much does an 11 day Egypt tour package cost?

Between $1,485 and $5,700 per person, depending on the itinerary and the season. The entry point is the Cairo, Felucca and Red Sea trip at $1,485. Classic Nile cruise itineraries sit between $1,630 and $2,605. Dahabiya sailing packages run from $2,150 to $3,365. The 2027 solar eclipse itinerary is priced separately at $5,700 because of eclipse-period hotel and cruise rates.

Is 11 days long enough to see Egypt properly?

Yes — it is the length at which the country stops feeling rushed. Eleven days covers Cairo, Luxor and Aswan with time to spare, which is what allows you to add a Red Sea stay, a desert night or a slower boat without dropping a site. Shorter trips force a choice between depth and coverage. Eleven days does not.

Are these private tours or group tours?

Small group, capped at sixteen travellers. Every eleven-day itinerary can also be booked privately on request, giving you your own guide, driver and vehicle for the whole trip. Tell us at the enquiry stage and we will quote both.

Do 11 day Egypt tour packages include a Nile cruise?

Most do. Six of the eight include time on the river — either a three or four-night cruise ship between Luxor and Aswan, a seven-night dahabiya, or a felucca. The remaining itineraries substitute the Red Sea or the Western Desert. Each product page states exactly which.

What is the difference between a Nile cruise ship and a dahabiya?

Scale and pace. A cruise ship carries around sixty cabins, runs to a fixed timetable and moors at the main temple towns. A dahabiya is a sailing boat with eight to twelve cabins that can tie up at islands and villages the larger boats pass. A dahabiya is quieter and more flexible; a cruise ship has more onboard facilities and costs less.

How do you rate your Nile cruise ships?

On a Western scale, not the Egyptian licence. Standard equals a Western 3.5-star, Deluxe a 4-star, Ultra Deluxe a 4.5-star, and Luxury a 5-star. Every ship operating in Egypt is marketed locally as five-star, which is why guests are so often surprised on boarding. We would rather set the expectation correctly in advance.

The dahabiya sails on fixed days — so why do these packages depart every day?

Because the trip starts in Cairo, not on the boat. Your Cairo nights absorb the wait for the sailing date. You arrive when your international flights suit, see Giza, Saqqara and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then fly south to join the dahabiya on its departure day.

Can I combine eleven days with the Red Sea or the White Desert?

Yes, and two itineraries are built that way. The Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan package finishes with a Red Sea stay. The Pyramids, Nile Cruise and White Desert itinerary swaps beach time for Bahariya Oasis and a night camped among the chalk formations of the White Desert.

Is Abu Simbel included?

On the seven-night dahabiya itinerary, yes — it is visited from Aswan by road as part of the programme. On the other eleven-day packages Abu Simbel is offered as an optional extra from Aswan, by road or by short flight. Ask us to price it into your quote before you book and it will be arranged in advance.

How much is the Egypt tourist visa?

$30 for most nationalities, bought on arrival. Your representative is with you inside the terminal while you do it, so there is no queue to work out on your own. You can book your e-visa online.

Who meets me at Cairo airport?

An Egypt Best Vacations representative, inside the arrivals terminal, holding a signboard with your name. They assist with visa and passport formalities and then hand you to your private vehicle and driver. This applies at every airport on the itinerary.

How are children priced?

Two ways, depending on the itinerary. On packages that include domestic flights: under 3 pay 30% of the adult rate, ages 3–5 pay 40%, ages 6–11 pay 50%, and 12 and over pay the adult rate. On ground itineraries with no internal flights: under 6 travel free, ages 6–11 pay 50%, and 12 and over pay the adult rate.

I am travelling alone. What does that cost?

The single supplement is 70% of the twin rate. Solo travellers are common on these itineraries and the small-group format makes them easy — you get an Egyptologist guide and a group of at most sixteen. On dahabiya trips the only options are a twin or a single cabin, as the hulls will not take a third bed.

What standard are the hotels?

We publish two ratings for every hotel: the Egyptian license and the honest Western equivalent. Bronze is a Western 2.5-star, Silver a 3-star, Gold a 3.5-star, Platinum a 4-star, Diamond a 4.5-star and Elite a 5-star. Gold properties are licensed in Egypt as “5-star standard” and Platinum as “5-star deluxe”, which is exactly the sort of gap our ladder exists to close.

When is the best time to travel?

October to April is the comfortable window, and our rates move across six seasons: 1 May–30 Sep, 1 Oct–15 Dec, 16 Dec–10 Jan, 11 Jan–25 Mar, 26 Mar–10 Apr, and 11 Apr–30 Apr. Summer is hot in Upper Egypt but considerably cheaper, and early starts make it very workable if the budget matters more than the thermometer.

How do I pay, and what happens if I cancel?

A deposit confirms your booking and the balance is settled by secure payment link before you travel — never in cash on arrival. Cancellation charges start at 15%, rising as the departure date approaches; the full ladder is in our terms and conditions.
