The most popular Egypt tours we run share a shape. Cairo first, for the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Then south to Luxor and Aswan for the temples and the tombs, often with a Nile cruise carrying you between them. Our single most-booked itinerary is the six-day Cairo and Nile cruise package. It covers the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor, Aswan and a cruise between them inside a week, which is the shape most first-time visitors are looking for. The three-night Aswan to Luxor cruise is the most-booked product overall, but many travelers add it to a Cairo stay rather than buying it alone.
Between six and eight. That is enough for Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and a Nile cruise without rushing any of them. Four and five-day trips work if you fly between cities and accept that a cruise will not fit. Beyond nine days you can add Alexandria, Abu Simbel, the Red Sea or the White Desert.
Most of them do, from six days upward. The cruise between Luxor and Aswan doubles as your transport and your hotel, and it reaches Kom Ombo and Edfu, which are awkward to visit any other way. Land-based versions of the same routes exist for travelers who would rather stay in hotels.

No. Egypt Best Vacations does not sell international air tickets, so every price on this page is land-and-cruise only. Domestic flights within Egypt are included wherever an itinerary requires them.
October to April is the comfortable season, with the peak between December and February. Summer in Upper Egypt is very hot, though prices drop accordingly and the sites are quiet. Christmas, New Year and Easter book out first.
