Day 1 Arrival & the beginning of 7 day Egypt tour packages

One of our representatives from Egypt Best Vacations will meet you at Cairo International Airport to help you through the arrival and visa regulations. Transfer to your hotel for free time and get ready to start your 7 day Egypt tour packages. 

Overnight in Cairo

Day 2Giza Great Pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara

Your actual 7 day Egypt tour packages & Nile River cruise begins when Egypt Best Vacations professional tour guide picks you up from your hotel to commence your tour to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and Saqqara.

You will, first visit the Giza Plateau, where you will have an opportunity to explore Khufu’s Great Pyramid, Khafre’s Pyramid, Menkaure’s Pyramid, and the Great Sphinx. Your Egyptologist tour guide will explain to you how and why the Ancient Egyptian kings built their pyramids. He will tell you about the mystery behind the pyramids. The next thing you will do is take a visit to the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, the first stone structure to be constructed by King Djoser and his architect Imhotep, and then drive back to your hotel.

Overnight in Cairo. 

Day 3Fly to Aswan - Nile River Cruise

Take a transfer from your hotel to Cairo Airport to fly to Aswan to begin your 3-night Nile River Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. This is the most beautiful part of your 7 day Egypt tour packages.

Meet your guide just outside the arrival terminal at Aswan Airport to commence your tour. Your first stop will be at the High Dam, a dam built in the 1960s, to generate hydroelectricity and to stop floods. Then proceed to explore the Temple of Philae, which was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and is one of the most incredible temples in Egypt. It was due to the construction of the two dams in Aswan that UNESCO had to relocate the temple. End your journey at the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk

Transfer to your Nile cruise ship. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 4Aswan - Kom Ombo Temple

Enjoy a free morning onboard your Nile cruise ship or join us on an optional tour of the phenomenal temples of Abu Simbel.

Your Nile cruise ship will set sail down to Kom Ombo around the lunchtime. Disembark at Kom Ombo to visit the Twin Temple of Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. This temple was built during the Greco-Roman period. It was built over the ruined temple of the New Kingdom. The temple began during the time of Ptolemy V and was completed by the time of Emperor Tiberius. The emperors Domitian, Caracalla, and others added to the temple. So it took about 400 years to finish.

At the end of your tour, you will have a short visit to the Crocodile Museum then the ship will proceed down to Edfu, where it will dock. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 5Edfu - Esna - Luxor

After/before breakfast, you will take a horse-drawn carriage to visit Edfu’s Temple of Horus. This temple was built during the Greco-Roman era and is the most intact temple in Egypt. The Temple of Edfu is fully inscribed with reliefs and hieroglyphs on its exterior and interior walls.

Take your carriage back to your cruise ship to set sail from Edfu to Luxor via the Lock of Esna. Once you reach Luxor, you will have the chance to explore the largest temple in Egypt, the Temple of Karnak, which was built by several pharaohs. Then, proceed to the majestic Temple of Luxor, which is connected to Karnak by the ceremonial avenue of the Sphinxes which was recently restored. These two temples were dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, the Theban Triad.

Day 6Kings Valley, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon

You will disembark from your Nile cruise ship after breakfast in order to explore the western side of Luxor. In the first part of your tour, you will have the chance to explore the magnificent tombs of the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried to be hidden from grave robbers. A total of 65 tombs can be found in the Valley of the Kings. Your guide will recommend the top three tombs that are open to the public that you should visit.
Then, you will proceed to the unique Temple of Hatshepsut, the female pharaoh who served as a solo pharaoh for about 20 years after convincing the people that she was a man. You will then visit the Colossi of Memnon which lies in the Temple of Amenhotep III. After this, you will take a transfer to Luxor Airport in order to catch our flight back to Cairo for the rest of your 7 day Egypt tour packages. Transfer from Cairo Airport to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 7End of your 7 Day Egypt Tour Packages & Nile River Cruise

Explore the fantastic contents of the historical Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square in Cairo. Hundreds of objects from all periods of Egypt’s past are displayed on the two floors of the museum.

In addition to the museum, you drive to the Citadel of Saladin, which was built in 1172 as a line of defense against the Crusades by the Sunni Muslim leader Saladin. In the citadel, one of the most prominent features is the White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha which has the famous clock he received from the French king Lewis Philippe and then he gave them the famous obelisk of Remises II from Luxor Temple, in return.

The tour of Khan El-Khalili will come next, it is one of the oldest bazaars in Egypt, which was created during the Fatimid Era.
