Meet your guide just outside the arrival terminal at Aswan Airport to begin your Aswan tour. Your first stop is the High Dam, built in the 1960s to generate hydroelectricity and protect Egypt from floods. Then take a motorboat to the Temple of Philae, built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt — famously relocated stone by stone by UNESCO after the dams were built.
