Yes. Singapore passport holders need a tourist visa for Egypt, and you are eligible for both options: an e-visa applied for online before you fly (around US$30 for single entry) or a visa on arrival at the airport (around US$30, per Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs). Both grant a single-entry stay of up to 30 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date and have at least two blank pages. We help every Singapore guest prepare the right documents before departure.
There are currently no direct flights between Singapore (Changi) and Cairo, so you’ll travel with one stop. Total journey time is usually around 13 to 17 hours including the layover, with the fastest one-stop routings near 13 hours via the Gulf. Popular choices include Qatar Airways via Doha, Etihad via Abu Dhabi, Emirates via Dubai, Gulf Air via Bahrain, Saudia via Jeddah, and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul. We can advise on the most convenient connection and arrange a private Meet & Assist on arrival at Cairo Airport.
Egypt is 5 to 6 hours behind Singapore. For most of the year the difference is 6 hours, narrowing to 5 hours during Egypt’s summer daylight-saving period (roughly late April to late October). Because the flight is long-haul with a stopover, we recommend a relaxed first evening at your hotel before your touring begins — and every luxury itinerary is paced with that comfortable start in mind.
The best time for Singapore travellers to visit Egypt is October to April, when the weather is cool and dry — ideal for exploring the Pyramids, Luxor’s temples and the Nile in comfort. The summer months of June to August are very hot, especially in Upper Egypt and Aswan. Because October to April is also peak season, and it covers the Christmas, New Year and Easter holidays popular with Singaporean families, we recommend booking your luxury tour and Nile cruise several months ahead.
Our Egypt luxury tours from Singapore typically include private airport transfers in premium vehicles, accommodation in 5-star hotels and luxury Nile cruise ships, a private licensed Egyptologist guide, all entrance fees to monuments and sites, daily breakfast and selected meals, and dedicated concierge support throughout your trip. International flights from Singapore are not included as standard, but we are happy to arrange them on request along with your visa guidance and Meet & Assist service.
We use a handpicked selection of Egypt’s finest 5-star properties, including landmark names such as the Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza, the Kempinski Nile Hotel, the Marriott Mena House overlooking the Pyramids, and the Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah. On the Nile, we use premium vessels — elegant luxury cruise ships and intimate Dahabiya sailboats — offering spacious cabins, fine dining and sun decks with spectacular views. Specific hotels can be tailored to your taste and budget.
All our Egypt luxury tours from Singapore are fully private. You will never share your guide, vehicle or schedule with other travellers. Your itinerary is designed exclusively for you and your travel companions, giving you complete flexibility to move at your own pace, linger longer at the sites you love, and enjoy a truly personalised experience from arrival to departure.
We offer two premium Nile cruise styles. Classic luxury cruise ships sail between Luxor and Aswan over 4 to 5 nights, with spacious en-suite cabins, fine dining, sun decks and onboard entertainment. Dahabiya sailboats are boutique vessels with only 4 to 8 cabins, offering an intimate, slow-paced journey with gourmet meals and exclusive docking at quiet sites away from the crowds. Both can be combined with Cairo and a Red Sea stay in packages such as our 6 Day Luxury Cairo & Dahabiya Cruise (from US$2,310) or 8-Day Luxury Cairo & Nile Cruise Holiday (from US$2,530).
Absolutely. Every Egypt luxury tour we offer can be fully tailored to your preferences. Whether you want to add extra days, include a specific site or experience, upgrade your accommodation, adjust the pace, or combine destinations such as Siwa Oasis, Alexandria, Abu Simbel or a Red Sea resort in Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh, our travel specialists will create a bespoke itinerary just for you. Simply contact us to start planning your dream luxury Egypt vacation from Singapore.
We recommend booking your Egypt luxury tour at least 3 to 6 months in advance, especially for travel during peak season (October to April) or over the Christmas, New Year and Easter holidays. Luxury hotels and Dahabiya cruises have limited capacity and fill quickly. Booking early also gives you the best choice of long-haul flights from Singapore, which are usually cheaper a couple of months out. That said, we can often arrange last-minute trips depending on availability, so feel free to reach out at any time.
The local currency in Egypt is the Egyptian Pound (EGP). Egyptian banks and money changers do not accept Singapore Dollars, so bring US Dollars or Euros to exchange on arrival, or withdraw Egyptian Pounds from an ATM using a card enabled for overseas use. Major credit cards are accepted at larger hotels, restaurants and shops, though a small transaction fee may apply, and cash is handy for markets, tips and small purchases. Our tour prices are quoted in US Dollars, and your hotels, cruise and guiding are all prepaid, so you’ll only need spending money on the ground.
