Today marks the dawn of your 11-day Egypt tour package, a journey brimming with ancient wonders, sun-kissed beaches, and the mesmerizing whispers of the Nile. Your adventure begins right at your hotel, where a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide awaits. With eager smiles and hearts brimming with anticipation, you climb aboard a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, ready to unlock the secrets of Egypt’s legendary past.

Today, you will visit the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still remains (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. Today you will learn about the history of the pyramids, how they were constructed, and why they were constructed. 

Savor your lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Explore the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian treasures in one stunning modern complex. You’ll stand face-to-face with the full Tutankhamun collection and enjoy immersive galleries that bring Egypt’s history to life. Then, transfer back to your hotel.

Following your breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Citadel of Saladin, which was built in 1172 to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. At the citadel, you can visit the White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha, which is one of its most prominent features. Continue to Coptic Cairo District to visit the Hanging Church. The Hanging Church is one of the oldest and most famous Christian churches in Egypt. It is admired for its beautiful wooden ceiling, historic icons, and deep connection to Egypt’s Coptic heritage.

Continue to Abu Serga Church. The Church of Abu Serga, also known as Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church. It is especially revered because tradition says the Holy Family stayed in a cave beneath the church during their journey in Egypt. End your Coptic Cairo tour at Ben Ezra Synagogue. The Ben Ezra Synagogue is one of the oldest and most famous Jewish landmarks in Old Cairo. It is known for its rich history and for the discovery of the Cairo Geniza, a remarkable collection of ancient Jewish manuscripts.

Culminate your day shopping at the Khan El-Khalili bazaar. It is one of Cairo’s most famous historic markets. A vibrant place to experience the city’s traditional atmosphere. It is known for its narrow lanes, colorful shops, handmade souvenirs, spices, jewelry, and lively cafés. Then, head back to your hotel.

A fabulous Nile cruise vacation awaits! The following four days of your 11 days in Egypt will be spent cruising along the Nile River. So, you will take a transfer to Cairo Airport to fly to Aswan to begin your 3-night Nile River cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Meet your guide just outside the arrival terminal at Aswan Airport to commence your tour. Explore the wonders of the beautiful City of Aswan such as the High Dam, the largest day was built in 1960s. This dam was built to protect Egypt against floods and to generate hydropower.

Then, proceed to the beautiful Temple of Isis at Philae Island. Philae Temple was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and is one of the most incredible temples in Egypt. It was due to the construction of the two dams in Aswan that UNESCO had to relocate the temple. End your Aswan tour at the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk. Learn how the ancient Egyptians fashioned their obelisks and statues of gods and kings. Then, transfer to your Nile cruise ship. Overnight in Aswan.

Enjoy a free morning on board your cruise ship or join us on an optional tour to the phenomenal temples of Abu Simbel. 

Your Nile cruise ship will set sail to Kom Ombo around the lunchtime. Disembark at Kom Ombo to visit the twin Temple of Horus and Sobek. The right part of the temple is dedicated to Sobek (Crocodile deity), his consort Hathor and their son Khonsu. The left part of the temple is dedicated to Horus the Elder (Heru-ur or Haroeris), his consort Tasenetnofret (“the good sister”), and their son Panebtawy (the Lord of the Two Lands). Enjoy a short visit to the Crocodile Museum before you go back to your river cruise to set sail to Edfu. Overnight in Edfu.

Before your breakfast, you will take a horse and carriage to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. This temple is very intact, and fully inscribed with reliefs and hieroglyphs on its exterior and interior walls. This visit will add a great value for your Egypt 11 day itinerary. Take your carriage back to your cruise ship to set sail to Luxor via the Lock of Esna.

Upon arrival in Luxor, you will visit the Temple of Karnak. It is the largest temple in Egypt. Its vast halls, towering columns, and sacred sanctuaries reveal the greatness of Thebes during the New Kingdom. Then, proceed to the majestic Temple of Luxor. Luxor Temple is one of the most beautiful ancient temples in Egypt. Built mainly by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. It was dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship and the glory of ancient Thebes. Both temples were dedicated to Theban Triad; Amun, Mut and Khonsu.

Disembarkation, followed by visiting the magnificent tombs of the Valley of the Kings. Here, the pharaohs of the New Kingdom period were buried to be hidden from the tomb robbers. Your guide will recommend the best three tombs to visit. Then, proceed to the unique Temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt for about 20 yeas as a sole pharaoh. Its grand terraces, elegant design, and dramatic setting against the cliffs of Deir El-Bahari. End your Luxor West Bank tour at the Colossi of Memnon of Amenhotep III. Two giant statues once, they stood in front of the main gate of the temple.
