Day 1 Arrive in Amman, Jordan - Petra Tour

Welcome to Jordan. Meet and assist by our representative of “Egypt Best Vacations then head to the ancient ruins of Petra or the Rose City for its distinctive red sandstone. This remarkable city of temples and houses was carved out of sheer rock some 2,000 years ago by a nomadic people called the Nabataeans. From this stone stronghold, they were able to control the ancient trade routes of Arabia, establishing a kingdom that became known for its exquisite architecture and refined culture. Making your way on foot through a slim fissure in the rock of the ‘Siq’ mountains you will encounter the dramatic treasury plus the Street of Facades, the Court House and the Amphitheatre. If there is time you can even climb the 1,200 steps to the Monastery.

Day 2Jerash & Nebo

Visit the ruined City of Jerash, the largest and most interesting Roman site in Jordan. Jerash or Jarash, is one of the world’s best preserved ancient Roman sites. Once known as Gerasa, Jerash is believed to have been inhabited since the Neolithic Era. However, it is the impressive Roman city built in Jerash which has left its greatest mark on the area, becoming Jordan’s second most popular tourist site after Petra.

Then proceed to the Greek Church of Saint George. The Church of Saint George at Madaba is an early Byzantine church also Known as the “Church of the Map”. You will finish your day at Mount Nebo where Moses was buried according to Christian traditions. Head to your hotel in Dead Sea City.

Day 3Dead Sea

Enjoy your time on the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. The leading attraction at the Dead Sea is the warm, soothing, super salty water itself – some ten times saltier than sea water, and rich in chloride salts of magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine and several others.

Day 4Fly to Cairo, Egypt

Transfer to Queen Aliaa Airport to fly to Cairo, Egypt for the second leg of your 8-day Egypt Jordan trip. Meet and assist by our representative at Cairo Airport, who will help you through arrival and visa regulations. Your private transfer whisks you to your hotel, your launchpad of exploring Egypt’s treasures.

Day 5Giza Great Pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara

Today, you will visit the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still remains (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. Today you will learn about the history of the pyramids, how they were constructed, and why they were constructed.

Then on to the first pyramid in history of humanity, The Step Pyramid of King Djoser at Saqqara. Saqqara is one of the most important and richest necropolises in Egypt. It was the cemetery of Memphis, the 1st capital city of United Egypt in 3200 BCE.

Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 6Egyptian Museum, Saladin Citadel and Khan El-Khalili

Explore the fantastic contents of the historical Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square in Cairo. Hundreds of objects from all periods of the Egyptian past are displayed on the two floors of the museum.

From the museum to the Citadel of the Sunni Muslim leader Saladin, which was built in 1172 to defend Cairo against the Crusaders. The White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha is a prominent feature of the Citadel. You will finish your tour today at the historical bazaar of Khan El-Khalili, the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Return back to your hotel.

Day 7Alexandria wonders

Set out on an enchanting day trip from Cairo to Alexandria, uncovering the splendid marvels of this charming city. Begin your journey by descending into the awe-inspiring Roman Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa, renowned as one of the wonders of the Middle Ages. Continue to the towering Pompey’s Pillar, followed by a visit to the majestic Citadel of Qaitbay, a historic fortress overlooking the azure Mediterranean Sea. Savor a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, then explore the renowned Library of Alexandria, a beacon of knowledge and history.
