Welcome to Jordan. Meet and assist by our representative of “Egypt Best Vacations” then head to the ancient ruins of Petra or the Rose City for its distinctive red sandstone. This remarkable city of temples and houses was carved out of sheer rock some 2,000 years ago by a nomadic people called the Nabataeans. From this stone stronghold, they were able to control the ancient trade routes of Arabia, establishing a kingdom that became known for its exquisite architecture and refined culture. Making your way on foot through a slim fissure in the rock of the ‘Siq’ mountains you will encounter the dramatic treasury plus the Street of Facades, the Court House and the Amphitheatre.

Then proceed to the Greek Church of Saint George. The Church of Saint George at Madaba is an early Byzantine church also Known as the “Church of the Map”. You will finish your day at Mount Nebo where Moses was buried according to Christian traditions.

So, we will transfer you to Cairo Airport to fly to Aswan to begin your 3-night Nile River cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Explore the wonders of the beautiful City of Aswan such as the High Dam, the largest day was built in 1960s. This dam was built to protect Egypt against floods and to generate hydropower. Then, proceed to the beautiful Temple of Isis at Philae Island. Philae Temple was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and is one of the most incredible temples in Egypt. It was due to the construction of the two dams in Aswan that UNESCO had to relocate the temple. End your Aswan tour at the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk. Your Nile cruise ship will set sail to Kom Ombo around the lunchtime. Disembark at Kom Ombo to visit the twin Temple of Horus and Sobek. The temple was built over the ruined temple of the New Kingdom. The temple began during the time of Ptolemy V and was completed by the time of Emperor Tiberius. The emperors Domitian, Caracalla, and others added to the temple. So it took about 400 years to finish. Enjoy a short visit to the Crocodile Museum, before you go back to your Nile cruise ship to set sail to Edfu. Overnight in Edfu.

Before breakfast, you will take a horse and carriage to visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. The temple is very intact, none of its elements are missing but the Sacred Lake and two obelisks. The Temple of Edfu is fully inscribed with reliefs and hieroglyphs on its exterior and interior walls. Visiting Edfu Temple adds a great value to your Egypt and Jordan travel package. Take your carriage back to your Nile cruise ship to set sail to Luxor via the Lock of Esna.
Upon arrival in Luxor, you will visit the Temple of Karnak. It is the largest temple in Egypt. Its vast halls, towering columns, and sacred sanctuaries reveal the greatness of Thebes during the New Kingdom. Then, proceed to the majestic Temple of Luxor. Luxor Temple is one of the most beautiful ancient temples in Egypt. Built mainly by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. It was dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship and the glory of ancient Thebes. Both temples were dedicated to Theban Triad; Amun, Mut and Khonsu. Overnight in Luxor.

Disembarkation, followed by Luxor West Bank tour. Visit the impressive Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings is one of the most important highlights not only in Luxor but throughout Egypt. The Ancient Egyptians named it (Ta-Iset-Ma’at), which means “the Place of Truth”. The Valley of the Kings is the necropolis of the great Egyptian pharaohs of the 18th to the 20th Dynasty (1550-1080 BCE). From the Valley of the Kings to the unique Temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, who served as a sole pharaoh for about 20 years. Its grand terraces, elegant design, and dramatic setting against the cliffs of Deir El-Bahari. End your Luxor West Bank tour at the Colossi of Memnon of Amenhotep III. Two giant statues once, they stood in front of the main gate of the temple.

At the citadel, you can visit the White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha, which is one of its most prominent features. Continue to Coptic Cairo District to visit the Hanging Church. The Hanging Church is one of the oldest and most famous Christian churches in Egypt. It is admired for its beautiful wooden ceiling, historic icons, and deep connection to Egypt’s Coptic heritage.
Continue to Abu Serga Church. The Church of Abu Serga, also known as Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church. It is especially revered because tradition says the Holy Family stayed in a cave beneath the church during their journey in Egypt. End your Coptic Cairo tour at Ben Ezra Synagogue. The Ben Ezra Synagogue is one of the oldest and most famous Jewish landmarks in Old Cairo. It is known for its rich history and for the discovery of the Cairo Geniza, a remarkable collection of ancient Jewish manuscripts.
