Today, you will explore the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still exists (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. Today you will learn about the history of the pyramids, how they were built, and why they were built. 

Savor your lunch at a local restaurant, then proceed to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Explore the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian treasures in one stunning modern complex. You’ll stand face-to-face with the full Tutankhamun collection and enjoy immersive galleries that bring Egypt’s history to life. Then, transfer back to your hotel.

Following your breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Citadel of Saladin, which was built in 1172 to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. At the citadel, you can visit the White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha, which is one of its most prominent features. Continue to Coptic Cairo District to visit the Hanging Church. The Hanging Church is one of the oldest and most famous Christian churches in Egypt. It is admired for its beautiful wooden ceiling, historic icons, and deep connection to Egypt’s Coptic heritage.

Continue to Abu Serga Church. The Church of Abu Serga, also known as Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church. It is especially revered because tradition says the Holy Family stayed in a cave beneath the church during their journey in Egypt. End your Coptic Cairo tour at Ben Ezra Synagogue. The Ben Ezra Synagogue is one of the oldest and most famous Jewish landmarks in Old Cairo. It is known for its rich history and for the discovery of the Cairo Geniza, a remarkable collection of ancient Jewish manuscripts.

Culminate your day shopping at the Khan El-Khalili bazaar. It is one of Cairo’s most famous historic markets. A vibrant place to experience the city’s traditional atmosphere. It is known for its narrow lanes, colorful shops, handmade souvenirs, spices, jewelry, and lively cafés. Then, head back to your hotel.

Today, as part of your Egypt tour with Lake Nasser and Dahabiya cruise you will explore the enchanting Alexandria. Your tour includes the famous Roman Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. The catacombs are huge Egyptian tombs and royal cemeteries with Ptolemaic and Roman influences. The catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa are one the largest Roman burial sites not just in Alexandria but in Egypt. These catacombs started as a private tomb for a wealthy family, then became a public cemetery. The catacombs house more than 300 tombs.

From the catacombs to the Pompey’s Pillar. Many of the ancient historians did not tell us more details about the “Pompey’s Pillar” but about the buildings that stood nearby and have disappeared now. The hill on which the pillar is erected was covered with temples and houses a long time before the Roman era. It was the place of the Citadel of Rhakotis. A temple was dedicated to Osiris-Serapis was built on the mountain. Then proceed to the Citadel of Qaitbay. The Citadel of Qaitbay in Alexandria is one of the most important fortifications in Egypt. It was constructed by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaitbay to defend Egypt against the Ottomans/Turks. End your tour in Alexandria with visiting the Library of Alexandria. Arrival at Abu Simbel airport. Meet and assist by our representative of “Egypt Best Vacations”. Transfer to your cruise. Have your lunch on board. Visit the phenomenal Temples of Ramses and Nefertari at Abu Simbel. The temples of Abu Simbel are considered among the most celebrated achievements of ancient Egypt. The two temples were cut in the cliffs about 310 Km south of Aswan. The Great Temple was built for Ramses II (1279-1213 BC), while the Small Temple was built for his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. Because of the rising water of Aswan High Dam, the temples had to be saved and rescued in a magnificent world rescue operation of temples in Lower Nubia.

Your Lake Nasser cruise ship will set sail from Abu Simbel to Qasr Ebrim, which you will view from the top deck. The only Nubian monument visible on its original site, Qasr Ebrim once sat on top of a 70m-high cliff, about 60km north of Abu Simbel, but now has water lapping at its edges. Then, set sail to Amada to overnight there.

Today at Amada, you will visit the Temple of Amada. Amada Temple was built during the 18th Dynasty (c. 1550–1295 BC) in the New Kingdom, the temple of Amada is one of the oldest of the ancient Egyptian monuments lying along the shores of Lake Nasser. The reliefs and inscriptions of the temple are very well preserved because they were covered with a layer of plaster when it was converted into a church. You will also visit the Tomb of the Viceroy of Nubia, Pennut. Then, your Lake Nasser cruise ship will set sail to Wadi Es-Seboua. Here you are visiting the Temple of Wadi Es-Seboua, the Temple of Dakka, and the Temple of Maharaqa. Then, set sail to Aswan for overnight.

Disembarkation, then visit the New Kalabsha area which includes the Temple of Kalabsha, the Temple of Beit El-Wali, and the Kiosk of Kertassi. This Temple of Kalabsha is the largest free-standing temple in Lower Nubia. It was built during the reign of Augustus (30 BC–14 AD), the first Roman emperor. Primarily dedicated to the Nubian god Mandulis, the gods Isis and her husband Osiris were worshipped here too. 

Then, head to your Dahabiya cruise to begin a wonderful chapter of your 19 days Egypt itinerary. You will sail the Nile like a pharaoh from Aswan to Luxor on a small boat. Overnight in Aswan.

Set sail to Kom Ombo.

Visit the extraordinary Double Temple of Sobek and Haroeris, an uncommon shrine from the Greco-Roman period. Further to the Crocodile Museum, which houses an impressive collection of exquisitely preserved crocodile mummies. After visiting, return to your Dahabiya and head further to Al Ramady Island, where you will spend the night in serenity.
