You will sail the Nile from Aswan to Luxor on a large Nile cruise ship or Dahabiya cruise or Felucca cruise. This combination blends pyramids, temples, Nile scenery, and pure relaxation.

In Cairo, travelers usually visit the Egyptian Museum and the pyramids. Luxor brings royal tombs and vast temple complexes on both Nile banks. Aswan adds beautiful river views, islands, and colorful Nubian culture. Hurghada or Sharm El-Sheikh gives you time to swim, snorkel, or simply enjoy resort life. Some programs also add Alexandria for Mediterranean history and seaside charm. Others include desert adventures to places like the White Desert, where landscapes feel almost lunar.

Is a Nile cruise included in your 13-day Egypt itinerary?

Yes. Sailing between Luxor and Aswan is a highlight of our 13-day Egypt tour packages. You unpack once and the temples come to you. Egypt Best Vacations provides different cruise styles depending on budget and comfort.

Large ships feel like floating hotels with restaurants, lounges, and sundecks. For a more intimate atmosphere, many prefer a traditional Nile River dahabiya. These elegant sailboats carry fewer guests and stop at quieter sites. Adventure lovers sometimes try a felucca experience for a night under the stars. It is simple, authentic, and wonderfully peaceful.

When is the best time to travel for my 13-day Egypt tour?

October to April offers cooler temperatures and comfortable sightseeing, making it the most popular travel season. Days are pleasant for exploring temples and tombs, while evenings can be fresh, especially in the desert. Expect higher demand and slightly higher prices during Christmas, New Year, and Easter.

May to September, is more budget-friendly and less crowded, but it can be extremely hot, particularly in Luxor and Aswan. Sightseeing usually starts early in the morning, and our Nile cruises, hotels, and vehicles are air-conditioned. If you don’t mind the heat, you may enjoy excellent value and quieter monuments.

What should I pack for 13 days?

Bring light, breathable clothes, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, and modest outfits for mosques or churches. A light jacket or sweater is useful during winter evenings and early mornings on the Nile.

Sunglasses, a wide-brim hat, and high-SPF sunscreen are essential year round. Many sites offer little shade. You may also want a reusable water bottle, personal medications, and a small backpack for day tours. Swimwear is perfect for hotel pools and Red Sea resorts, while smart-casual outfits work well for cruise dinners.

Is Egypt safe for a 13-day vacation?

Yes, especially in the main tourist corridors like Cairo, Giza, Luxor, and Aswan. Security presence is strong around monuments, airports, hotels, and cruise boats. Egypt Best Vacations licensed guides and organized transport makes travel smooth and helps you avoid common hassles.

As in many busy destinations, the bigger challenge is persistent vendors rather than crime. A polite smile and a firm “no, thank you” usually works well. Your tour team can also step in whenever needed.
