Day 1 Arrival in Cairo, Egypt

Upon reaching Cairo International Airport, you will receive a warm welcome and assistance from our representative of “Egypt Best Vacations.” He will guide you through the arrival procedures and visa regulations. Enjoy a transfer to your hotel, where you can unwind and commence your Egypt 10-day tour from the UK: Cairo and 7-night Nile cruise.

Day 2Giza Great Pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara

Embark on your Egypt 10-day tour (Cairo & 7 nights Nile cruise) as our expert tour guide collects you from your hotel to kick off your exploration of the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and Saqqara.

Today, you will visit the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still remains (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. Are you ready to discover it from the inside? (Optional). Today you will learn about the history of the pyramids, how they were constructed, and why they were constructed.

Then on to the first pyramid in history of mankind, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser at Saqqara. Saqqara is one of the most important and richest necropolises in Egypt. It was the cemetery of Memphis, the 1st capital city of United Egypt in 3200 BCE.

Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3Egyptian Museum, Saladin Citadel and Khan El-Khalili

Explore the fantastic contents of the historical Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square in Cairo. Hundreds of objects from all periods of the Egyptian past are displayed on the two floors of the museum.
From the museum to the Citadel of the Sunni Muslim leader Saladin, which was built in 1172 to protect Cairo against the Crusaders. The White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha is a prominent feature of the Citadel.
You will finish your tour today at the historical bazaar of Khan El-Khalili, the largest bazaar in the Middle East.

Day 4Kings Valley, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon

Explore the glorious tombs of the Valley of the Kings. The pharaohs during the New Kingdom ceased building pyramids and cut their tombs deep into the mountain trying to hide them from grave robbers. There are 65 tombs in the Valley of the Kings, your guide will recommend the best three tombs of the ones open to visit.
From the glorious Valley of the Kings to the unique temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut who served as a solo pharaoh for about 20 years. You will end your trip at the giant Colossi of Memnon which survives from the temple of pharaoh Amenhotep III.

Back to your Nile cruise to set sail to Edfu via the Lock of Esna. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 5Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

Once you’ve finished breakfast, you will take a horse-drawn carriage to visit Edfu’s Temple of Horus, which was built during the Greco-Roman era and it is the most intact temple in Egypt. Following the visit to the temple at Edfu, the ship will sail up to Kom Ombo to visit the twin temple of Sobek, the Crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god, before visiting the Crocodile Museum near the temple. Following the temple visit, the ship will travel up to Aswan.

Overnight in Aswan. 

Day 6Aswan Tour

Following breakfast, you will start your tour in Aswan. The first stop will be the High Dam, which was built in the 1960s to stop floods and generate hydroelectricity. Next, you drive to the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk. Afterward, you will take a motorboat to visit the incredible Temple of Philae, which was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period. As a result of the dam construction, UNESCO had to move the temple to a new location.

Day 7Free day in Aswan

Today, your Nile cruise ship moors in Aswan, so you are able to visit the phenomenal Temples of Abu Simbel (optional tour), or to take a walk in Aswan, or relax onboard.

Day 8Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor

It is the rout back to Luxor of your Nile cruise ship. So, it will set sail back to Kom Ombo, stopping there for the new guest to visit Kom Ombo Temple
Then, the cruise ship sets sail from Kom Ombo down to Edfu, stopping there for the new guests to visit the Temple of Edfu. Then, it will set sail down to Luxor via the lock of Esna.

Day 9Karnak & Luxor Temples

Today, you are visiting the largest temple in the world, Karnak Temple. The Temple/Complex of Karnak was the great god’s chief sanctuary and much larger than any other monument in Egypt. This huge and splendid complex which actually contains many separate temples covers 1700 years of expansion and an area of 300 acres.

Then proceed to the majestic Luxor Temple. The Temple of Luxor was built by the 18th Dynasty pharaoh Amenhotep III (1387-1349 BCE), the grandson of the military genius Tuthmosis III, and expanded by the 19th Dynasty pharaoh Ramses II (1279-1213 BCE). Numerous other sovereigns, including Tutankhamun, Horemhab, and Alexander the Great enriched the construction with reliefs, inscriptions, and minor buildings.
