Feel the awe-inspiring presence of this architectural marvel, a testament to the ingenuity and ambition of an ancient civilization. Saqqara, once the burial ground of Memphis, Egypt’s ancient capital, offers a glimpse into the fascinating world of pharaohs, priests, and everyday life in this long-lost metropolis.

Return to your Cairo hotel, with minds brimming with wonder and our hearts eager for tomorrow’s adventures.

Day 3Egyptian Museum, Saladin Citadel and Khan El-Khalili

Embark on an exploration of the captivating exhibits housed in the historic Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square in Cairo. Witness the rich tapestry of Egypt’s past showcased across two museum floors. Next, journey to the Citadel of Saladin, constructed in 1172 for the defense of Cairo against Crusaders, featuring the prominent White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha.

Your final stop takes you to the Unfinished Obelisk, a silent giant hewn from the granite quarries. Imagine the pharaohs’ dreams etched in stone, the sweat and toil of a civilization frozen in time. The temple was expanded by the 19th Dynasty pharaoh Ramses II (1279-1213 BCE).
