This is a women-only tour. Every departure of our 4-day Egypt tour for women travels as a small group of no more than sixteen — small enough that you will know everyone’s name by the second morning and large enough that no one has to sit alone at dinner.
Four days is short, so the route is deliberate. Two full days in Cairo bracket one long day in Luxor, and you fly between them rather than losing a day to the road. In Cairo you have the Giza plateau and the Grand Egyptian Museum on day two, and Islamic and Coptic Cairo on day four. In between, a single day on both banks of the Nile at Luxor — the Valley of the Kings and the temple of Hatshepsut in the morning, Karnak and Luxor Temple in the afternoon.
You choose between two accommodation levels, Gold and Platinum, and between triple, twin/double and single rooms. Whichever you pick, you get a licensed guide at every site, all internal flights, all transfers and all entrance fees on the itinerary.
Bring a friend, a sister, your mother, or come on your own. Most women on this trip arrive alone and leave with a group chat.
Your Egypt Best Vacations representative meets you inside the arrivals terminal at Cairo International Airport with a signboard and helps you through passport and visa formalities. Transfer to your hotel, where you meet the rest of your group.
Meals Plan: No Meals Included
Your guide collects the group from the hotel and drives out to the Giza plateau. You will see the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, and the Sphinx that has sat below them for four and a half thousand years. Your guide will take you through how the pyramids were built, who built them — paid, fed, housed workers, not slaves — and what the internal chambers were actually for.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum. It is the largest museum in the world devoted to a single civilisation, and the reason to come is the Tutankhamun galleries: for the first time since Howard Carter opened the tomb, the entire burial assemblage is displayed together. Then transfer back to your hotel.

An early flight south to Luxor, where your guide meets you outside the terminal. You cross to the West Bank and the Valley of the Kings, the necropolis where New Kingdom pharaohs were cut into the rock rather than buried under pyramids — Tutankhamun among them.
Next, the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, terraced into the cliff face. Hatshepsut began as regent for Thutmose III and went on to rule as a crowned king in full pharaonic regalia, with his regnal years still running alongside hers. Her reliefs here record the expedition she sent to Punt. On the way out you pass the Colossi of Memnon, two seated statues of Amenhotep III that once flanked the entrance to a mortuary temple now almost entirely gone.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then cross to the East Bank for Karnak — not a single temple but the largest religious complex ever built, around 100 hectares, worked on by successive pharaohs for nearly two thousand years. The Great Hypostyle Hall alone holds 134 columns. You finish at Luxor Temple, a single elegant temple on the riverbank that was once joined to Karnak by an avenue of sphinxes nearly three kilometres long, now excavated along its full length.
Fly back to Cairo in the evening and transfer to your hotel for your final night.

After breakfast, drive up to the Citadel of Saladin, begun in 1176 to defend Cairo against the Crusaders and the seat of Egypt’s rulers for the next seven hundred years. Inside stands the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, its Ottoman silhouette the one you see on the Cairo skyline from almost anywhere in the city.
Continue to Coptic Cairo for the Hanging Church, named for the way it was built across the southern gate of the Roman fortress of Babylon, so its nave hangs above the passage below. Then Abu Serga — the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus — where tradition holds the Holy Family sheltered in the crypt during their time in Egypt. End at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, whose storeroom yielded the Cairo Geniza, close to 400,000 manuscript fragments that rewrote what historians knew about medieval Jewish life around the Mediterranean.
Finish with time to shop at Khan el-Khalili, the warren of lanes, spice stalls, silver workshops and coffee houses that has been Cairo’s market since the fourteenth century. Then transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure.
