Every one of our 5 day Egypt tour packages runs privately. Your own Egyptologist, your own driver, your own vehicle — not as an upgrade but as standard, because every Egypt Best Vacations itinerary under seven days works that way. There is no group version to be moved up from.
Five days is the shortest trip that lets you pair Cairo with somewhere else and still see both properly. Luxor gives you the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor Temple in one dense stretch of west and east bank. Aswan is quieter — Philae on its island, the granite quarries, and Abu Simbel within reach. Alexandria trades pharaonic Egypt for Greco-Roman, and pairs with El Alamein if you want the war cemeteries too. Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh put you on the Red Sea after the pyramids. The White Desert and Siwa go the other way entirely, into the Western Desert.
Two of these skip Cairo altogether. Luxor Highlights and Aswan Highlights stay in one place for the full five days, which suits repeat visitors who have already done the pyramids, or anyone who would rather go deep than broad.
A note from experience: five days moves fast, and the itineraries that work are the ones using domestic flights rather than long road transfers. Pairing Cairo with one other place beats trying to fit two. If you are choosing between a couple of these and want a straight answer about which suits you, message us — we would rather you booked the right one than the expensive one.

Yes, for Cairo plus one other destination, or for one destination in depth. It is not enough for Cairo, Luxor and Aswan plus the Red Sea. The itineraries that work in five days use domestic flights instead of long road transfers, and pair Cairo with one other place rather than two.
Yes. Every Egypt Best Vacations tour under seven days is private as standard — your own Egyptologist guide, your own driver, your own vehicle. There is no group version to upgrade from. Eclipse tour exception pending.
Cairo and Luxor covers the most famous sites. Cairo and Aswan is quieter and puts Abu Simbel within reach. Cairo with Hurghada or Sharm El-Sheikh adds the Red Sea. Alexandria gives you Greco-Roman Egypt rather than pharaonic. The White Desert and Siwa head into the Western Desert instead.
Yes. Luxor Highlights and Aswan Highlights stay in one place for the full five days — good for repeat visitors, or anyone who would rather see less and understand more.
On most two-destination itineraries, yes. Over five days a domestic flight is usually the difference between seeing a site properly and spending the day getting to it. Check the individual tour page for exact inclusions.
Yes, on itineraries built around Aswan, since Abu Simbel is reached by air or road from there. It does not fit comfortably alongside Luxor in the same five days.
Most start between $650 and $1,015 per person. The 2027 eclipse itinerary is a separate case at $3,150, priced around a fixed astronomical date with finite hotel availability in Luxor.
Accommodation, airport meet and assist, all transfers and sightseeing by private vehicle, a licensed Egyptologist guide, entrance fees listed in the itinerary, and selected meals. Not included: international flights, the Egypt entry visa ($30 on arrival for most nationalities), tipping and travel insurance.
October to April is most comfortable. Upper Egypt is genuinely hot from May to September — though a five-day trip with air-conditioned transport and early starts handles summer better than a two-week itinerary does.
Yes. Every five-day tour is private, so the order of sites, the pace and the hotels can all be adjusted. Tell us what you want to see and we will rebuild it around that.
