This private 7-day tour includes guided visits to Cairo, Abu Simbel, Aswan, and Luxor with a licensed Egyptologist, an overnight White Desert camping experience with all camping equipment and a campfire dinner, air-conditioned transfers, and handpicked hotels on non-camping nights. Every itinerary is tailor-made by Egypt Best Vacations, a licensed operator based in Luxor.
White Desert camping is a Bedouin-style overnight experience inside White Desert National Park, surrounded by surreal wind-carved chalk formations. Your crew sets up camp at sunset, serves a freshly cooked dinner by the fire, and you sleep under some of the clearest starry skies in Egypt — often with desert foxes visiting the camp at night.
Yes — White Desert camping is safe when arranged through a licensed operator. You travel with experienced local desert drivers in 4×4 vehicles, camp at established spots inside White Desert National Park, and your crew handles all equipment, food, and navigation. Egypt Best Vacations provides support throughout, from Cairo pickup to your return.
The best time for White Desert camping is October to April, when daytime temperatures are pleasant and nights are cool and clear — ideal for stargazing. Winter nights (December to February) can drop near freezing, so warm layers are essential. Summer camping is possible but daytime desert heat makes it far less comfortable.
No — all camping equipment is provided, including tents, mattresses, blankets, and camp furniture, along with your campfire dinner and breakfast. You only need personal items: warm layers for the night, comfortable shoes, a flashlight or headlamp, and any personal medication. A detailed packing list is sent with your booking confirmation.
You travel from Cairo to Bahariya Oasis by private air-conditioned vehicle, then switch to a 4×4 with an experienced desert driver for the journey through the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, and into White Desert National Park. The 4×4 stays with your group throughout the desert portion, including the drive back the next day.
Yes — the rock temples of Abu Simbel, built by Ramses II over 3,200 years ago, are a core highlight of this itinerary, not an optional extra. You visit with your licensed Egyptologist guide, who explains the temples’ history and their remarkable relocation above the waters of Lake Nasser in the 1960s.
Yes — like all Egypt Best Vacations tours, this itinerary is fully customizable. You can extend it with a Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor, add Red Sea days in Hurghada, upgrade hotels, or adjust the pace of any day. Tell us your preferences and we’ll redesign the trip around them at no extra planning cost.
Yes — this is a fully private Egypt tour. Your Egyptologist guide, driver, and vehicle serve only your group, and the White Desert camp is arranged for your party with its own crew. Nothing is shared with strangers, so you set the pace at every temple, museum, and desert stop.
Yes — no camping experience is needed. The crew sets up everything, cooks all meals, and handles the campsite, so you simply enjoy the desert. Families with children regularly join, and the experience involves no strenuous hiking. Note that facilities are basic Bedouin-style camping, which is part of the adventure’s charm.
White Desert nights are much colder than the days. In winter (December to February), temperatures can drop to around 0–5°C (32–41°F), while spring and autumn nights are typically 8–15°C (46–59°F). Warm blankets are provided at camp, but you should pack a jacket, warm layers, and a hat for the evening.
Prices start from around $1290 per person in a triple room, depending on group size, hotel category, and season. The rate covers private guiding, transfers, the full White Desert camping experience, and accommodation throughout. Request a free tailor-made quote with your dates — pricing is transparent, with no hidden fees and no planning charges.
