Day 1Arrival in Cairo, Egypt - Visit the Great Pyramids & the Sphinx

One of our representatives will meet you at Cairo International Airport to help you through the arrival and visa regulations. Meet your guide outside the arrival terminal to begin your 6-day Exquisite Egypt Tour from Australia and New Zealand. Enjoy a guided tour to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Your Egyptologist tour guide will explain to you how and why the Ancient Egyptian kings built their Pyramids. He will tell you about the mystery behind the pyramids. Transfer to your hotel. 

Overnight in Cairo

Day 2Fly to Aswan - Aswan Tour - Nile River Cruise

You’re going to spend the next four days of your 6 day Exquisite Egypt Tour from Australia and New Zealand on board a Nile River cruise. So, you will take a transfer to Cairo Airport to fly to Aswan to begin your 3-night Nile River cruise from Aswan to Luxor. 

Meet your guide just outside the arrival terminal at Aswan Airport to commence your tour. Your first stop will be at the High Dam, a dam built in the 1960s, to generate hydroelectricity and to stop floods. Then to explore the Temple of Philae, which was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and is one of the most incredible temples in Egypt. It was due to the construction of the two dams in Aswan that UNESCO had to relocate the temple. End your journey at the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk

Transfer to your Nile cruise ship. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 3Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu

Enjoy a free morning onboard your Nile cruise ship or join us on an optional tour of thephenomenal temples of Abu Simbel.

Your Nile cruise ship will set sail down to Kom Ombo around lunchtime. Stop at Kom Ombo to visit the twin temple of the two gods, Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. At the end of your tour, you will have a short visit to the Crocodile Museum, then the cruise ship will proceed down to Edfu, where it will dock. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 4Edfu - Esna - Luxor

After or before breakfast, you will take a horse-drawn carriage to visit Edfu’s Temple of Horus. This temple was built during the Greco-Roman era and is the most intact temple in Egypt. Afterward the cruise ship will sail from Edfu to Luxor via the Lock of Esna.

Once you reach Luxor, you will visit the largest temple in Egypt, the Temple of Karnak. This temple was built by several pharaohs in more than 1700 years. Then proceed to the majestic Temple of Luxor, which is connected to Karnak by the ceremonial avenue of the Sphinxes which was recently restored. These temples were dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, the Theban Triad. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 5Luxor West Bank - Fly back to Cairo

You will disembark from the ship after breakfast in order to explore the western side of Luxor. In the first part of your tour, you will explore the magnificent tombs of the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried to hide from the grave robbers. A total of 65 tombs can be found in the Valley of the Kings. Your guide will recommend the top three tombs that are open to the public that you should visit.
Then, proceed to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the female pharaoh who served as a solo pharaoh for about 20 years after convincing the people that she was a man. You will then visit the Colossi of Memnon which lies in the Temple of Amenhotep III.

After this, you will take a transfer to Luxor Airport to fly back to Cairo to enjoy the rest of your 6 day Exquisite Egypt Tour from Australia and New Zealand. Transfer from Cairo Airport to your hotel in Cairo.

It was designed by the French Architect Marcel Dourgnon and built by an Italian company in 1902 during the time of Khedive Abbas Helmi II.
