Your actual 10-day Egypt tour package begins when our professional tour guide picks you up from your hotel to commence your tour to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and Saqqara.
Today, you will visit the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still remains (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. Are you ready to discover it from the inside? (Optional)

Today you will learn about the history of the pyramids, how they were constructed, and why they were constructed. Then on to the first pyramid in history of humanity, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser at Saqqara. Saqqara is one of the most important and richest necropolises in Egypt. It was the cemetery of Memphis, the 1^st capital city of United Egypt in 3200 BCE.

Transfer back to your hotel.

Today, with your Cairo and felucca tour package, you will explore the stunning contents of the Egyptian Museum. Hundreds of objects from all periods of Egypt’s past are displayed on the two floors of the museum.

From the museum to the Citadel of the Sunni Muslim leader Saladin, built-in 1172 to protect Cairo against the Crusaders. The White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha is a prominent feature of the citadel. You will finish your tour today at the historical bazaar of Khan El-Khalili, the largest bazaar in the Middle East.

Transfer to Giza Railway Station to board your sleeper train to Aswan. 

Upon arrival at Aswan Railway, you will meet your tour guide to commence your tour to Abu Simbel temple. Embark on a scenic desert transfer (3.5 hours) to the phenomenal temples of Abu Simbel. Visiting Abu Simbel Temples is one of the most unforgettable experiences of the 10 Day Cairo and Felucca Tour Package. These massive rock temples, built by Pharaoh Ramses II, are a testament to ancient Egypt’s architectural genius. Carved into the mountainside, the temples were constructed to honor Ramses and his queen, Nefertari, and are renowned for their stunning detail and scale. The highlight is witnessing the colossal statues at the entrance and the intricate carvings inside that tell stories of Ramses’ victories. After exploring Abu Simbel temples, you will return back to Aswan to check into your hotel. 

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by Aswan tour. Take a picture on the top of the High Dam. A great engineering feat to protect Egypt against the damaging floods and to generate hydropower. Then, proceed to the beautiful Philae Temple. A wonderful temple dedicated to Isis, goddess of love and magic in ancient Egypt. Conclude your Aswan tour at the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk. Learn how the ancient Egyptians fashioned their obelisks and other granite statues.

Transfer to board your Felucca Nile cruise, your home for one night of your 10-day Cairo and felucca cruise tour package. Enjoy the Nile landscape in Aswan while cruising. 

Breakfast and disembarkation. Travel to Kom Ombo to visit the twin Temple of Horus and Sobek together with the Crocodile Museum. This temple was built in the Ptolemaic period. Due to the conflict between Sobek and Horus, the ancient Egyptians felt it necessary to separate their temple spaces within one temple. The Kom Ombo Temple has two entrances, courts, colonnades, Hypostyle halls, and sanctuaries, one side for each god.

Transfer from Kom Ombo to visit the most intact temple in Egypt, the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Edfu Temple is one of the most striking and complete of ancient Egyptian temples and is dedicated to the worship of the god Horus. Situated on the western bank of the Nile, its construction began during the reign of Ptolemy III (246–221 BC) in 237 BC, but was completed in the reign of Ptolemy XII (80–51 BC) in 57 BC, 180 years later.

Then transfer to your hotel in Luxor for a free evening.

Breakfast at the hotel, then begin your Luxor west bank tour. Visit the magnificent Valley of the Kings, a highlight of your 10-day Egypt tour package. Here, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom period were buried. Your guide will recommend the best three open tombs to visit. From the Valley of the Kings to the unique Temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years as a sole pharaoh.

You will end your tour at the Colossi of Memnon. Two colossal statues survived from the temple of Amenhotep III. Then transfer back to your hotel in Luxor.

Breakfast at the hotel, then check out, followed by Luxor East Bank tour. Visit the impressive Temple of Karnak. The largest religious complex in Egypt and it was the cult center of the cheif god of ancient Egypt, Amun-Re. Then proceed to the majestic Temple of Luxor. Luxor temple is located in the heart of Luxor and was the god’s harem temple. 

At the end of this Luxor East Bank tour, you will proceed to Luxor Railway. Board your sleeper train to Cairo. 

From Giza Railway, you will embark on a fantastic day trip from Cairo to Alexandria. Upon arrival in Alexandria, you’ll visit the Roman Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa, an ancient burial site initially built for a wealthy family, later used as a public cemetery. Next, proceed to Pompey’s Pillar, the only remaining column from the Temple of Serapeum, which was dedicated to Osiris-Serapis. Then, head to the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century fortress built by Sultan Qaitbay to protect Egypt from the Ottomans. Conclude your Alexandria tour at the modern Library of Alexandria, honoring the ancient one.
