The Rise of Thebes in the Middle Kingdom

Luxor’s prominence during the Middle Kingdom began with the reunification of Egypt under the 11th Dynasty. Particularly with the ascension of Mentuhotep II (circa 2055–2004 BCE). Theban Resistance Against the Hyksos
