20 Day Egypt Tour Packages for 2026/2027

Our 20 day Egypt tour packages are the only itineraries we run that reach Lake Nasser. Every shorter tour flies you to Abu Simbel for a morning and flies you back. Twenty days is the length at which you can board a ship beneath the temples of Ramses II instead, and spend three nights sailing north past monuments that most visitors to Egypt never hear of, let alone see.

Three routes share the same shape: three days in Cairo, two in Alexandria, the pyramid fields of Saqqara and Dahshur, the Lake Nasser cruise, the Nile between Aswan and Luxor, four nights on the Red Sea at Hurghada, and a night under the stars in the White Desert. What separates them is how you travel the Nile — cruise ship, dahabiya, or felucca — and the price that follows from it: $2,950 to $3,990 per person.

Why 20 Day Egypt Tour Packages Are the Ones That Reach Lake Nasser

When the High Dam was built, the rising water of Lake Nasser threatened more than Abu Simbel. A dozen smaller temples along the Nubian Nile were cut from their rock and rebuilt on higher ground in the UNESCO campaign of the 1960s and 70s. They now stand in four clusters along the lake shore, hundreds of kilometres from any road, and the only way to visit them is by boat.

    Fantastic

Great tour. Our guide Essam was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and articulated the tour well. Offering our group good advice on how to customize our tour based on our interests. He was sure to warn us on all potential scams aswell as unnecessary/non affiliated persons. He also went above by making our restaurant reservations for us.

He was always able to make the tours fun by telling us stories of the past in engaging ways! He was always helpful and gave us honest guidance regarding all local experiences eg. How to behave with street vendors. You felt you could trust him and rely on him fully through the travel!

Related FAQs About 20 Day Egypt Tour Packages

Most Asked Questions about 20 Day Egypt Vacation Packages

How much do 20 day Egypt tour packages cost?

Our 20 day Egypt tour packages start from $2,950 per person on the Ultimate Egypt Itinerary, $3,390 on Egyptian Enchantment with a cruise ship on the Nile, and $3,990 on the Cultural Tour with a dahabiya. Prices are per person sharing, Gold tier, 1 May to 30 September; the full room-and-season tables are on each tour page. All include domestic flights, the Lake Nasser cruise, four nights all-inclusive in Hurghada, the White Desert camp and 42 to 44 meals.

What is on a 20 day Egypt itinerary that shorter tours miss?

The Lake Nasser cruise. Four days sailing from Abu Simbel to Aswan past the relocated Nubian temples of Amada, Wadi es-Seboua, Dakka and Kalabsha, and the island fortress of Qasr Ibrim. These sites can only be reached by boat and do not fit into a 7, 10 or 15 day tour. Twenty days also gives Cairo three days instead of one, an overnight in Alexandria, and both the Red Sea and the White Desert rather than one or the other.

Is a Nile cruise included in the 20 day Egypt tour packages?

Every route sails the Nile between Aswan and Luxor, but in different vessels. Egyptian Enchantment uses a 5-star cruise ship for three nights, the Cultural Tour a dahabiya sailing boat for three nights, and the Ultimate Egypt Itinerary a felucca for two nights. All three also include the separate 3-night Lake Nasser cruise from Abu Simbel to Aswan.

Are Abu Simbel and the Grand Egyptian Museum included?

Abu Simbel is included on all three routes; you visit the temples on day seven and board the Lake Nasser ship there. The Grand Egyptian Museum is included on Egyptian Enchantment and the Cultural Tour. The Ultimate Egypt Itinerary visits the original Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square instead; if you would rather see the Grand Egyptian Museum on that route, ask when you book and we will swap it.

How many days are spent at the Red Sea?

Four nights in Hurghada, all-inclusive, with three completely free days between the Nile and the White Desert. Hurghada is a four-hour drive from Luxor, so no flight is needed to reach it.

Is the White Desert included in a 20 day Egypt tour?

Yes. Day eighteen on every route is a drive from Cairo through the Bahariya Oasis and the Black Desert to a night camping in the White Desert, with dinner cooked over a fire. You return to Cairo the following day. This is the only desert excursion on the 20 day routes; Siwa Oasis and the Sinai are not included but can be arranged as an extension.

Are the 20 day Egypt tour packages private or small group?

Small group, with a maximum of 16 travellers on the three main routes and 12 on the two solo variants, guided by licensed Egyptologists throughout. If you would like the itinerary run privately for your own party, ask for a quote and we will price it separately.

Which 20 day Egypt tour package should I choose?

Choose by the Nile. If you want a cabin with a private bathroom and a pool deck, take Egyptian Enchantment on the cruise ship. If you want to sail rather than motor, and moor at islands the ships cannot reach, take the Cultural Tour on the dahabiya. If you want the lowest price and do not mind two nights sleeping on deck, take the Ultimate Egypt Itinerary on the felucca. Everything before Aswan and after Luxor is the same on all three.
