Begin your tour to Wadi El-Hitan & Magic Lake a bit early by a pickup from your hotel in Cairo to drive to Fayoum, which is about 150 Km from Cairo. Upon arrival in Fayoum, you will board 4×4 jeep to begin your safari to Wadi El-Hitan.

Wadi El-Hitan, also known as the Valley of the Whales, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Western Desert of Egypt, about 150 kilometers southwest of Cairo. It is famous for its unique paleontological record, which includes the fossils of primitive whales that lived over 40 million years ago. The site also features stunning landscapes and rock formations.

At Wadi El-Hitan you will visit the museum as well as you will explore the site and see the fossilized remains of the ancient whales. You will learn more about the history and geology of the area.

After visiting Wadi El-Hitan, you will continue on to take your jeep to get a panoramic view of Wadi El-Rayan lakes. Then proceed to the Magic Lake.
