Day 1 Arrival in Cairo, Egypt

Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Meet and assist by our representative of “Egypt Best Vacations” who will help you through the arrival and visa regulations. Transfer to your hotel and the beginning of 9 day Egypt trip from Malaysia.

Day 2Giza Great Pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara

Your actual 9 day Egypt trip from Malaysia (King Menkare Tour) just begins when our professional tour guide picks you up from your hotel to commence your tour to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and Saqqara.

Today, you will visit the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still remains (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. You will learn about the history of the pyramids, how they were constructed, and why they were constructed.

Then on to the first pyramid in history, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser at Saqqara. Saqqara is one of the most important and richest necropolises in Egypt. It was the cemetery of Memphis, the 1^st capital city of United Egypt in 3200 BCE.

Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3Fly to Luxor - Nile cruise

You’re going to spend the next five days of your 9 day Egypt trip from Malaysia onboard a River Nile cruise. So, you will take a transfer from your hotel to Cairo Airport to fly to Luxor to begin your 4-night Nile River cruise from Luxor to Aswan.

Meet your guide just outside the arrival terminal at Luxor Airport to commence your tour. Explore the largest temple in the world, the Temple of Karnak, and the majestic Temple of Luxor. Both temples were dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.

Transfer to your Nile cruise ship. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 4Kings Valley, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon

Visit the glorious tombs of the Valley of the Kings. The pharaohs during the New Kingdom ceased building pyramids and cut their tombs deep into the mountain trying to hide them from grave robbers. There are 65 tombs in the Valley of the Kings, your guide will recommend the best three tombs of the ones open to visit.

From the glorious Valley of the Kings to the unique Temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut who served as a solo pharaoh for about 20 years. You will end your trip at the giant Colossi of Memnon which survives from the Temple of pharaoh Amenhotep III.
Back to your river cruise to set sail to Edfu via the Lock of Esna. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 5Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

Take a horse and carriage to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. This temple is the most intact temple in Egypt and was built during the Greco-Roman period. The Temple of Edfu is fully inscribed with reliefs and hieroglyphs on its exterior and interior walls.

After visiting the temple in Edfu, the ship will sail up to Kom Ombo to visit the twin Temple of Sobek, the Crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Then proceed to the Crocodile Museum in the vicinity of the temple. Return back to the cruise ship to set sail to Aswan where it moors for the next two days.

Day 6Aswan Tour

Welcome to the lovely City of Aswan. Your tour today includes the High Dam which was designed during the 1960s. The High Dam was built to stop floods and to generate electricity. Continue the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk. Here, you will learn how the ancient Egyptians fashioned their obelisks and statues.

You will end your tour at the amazing Temple of Philae. This temple was built during the Greco-Roman era and dedicated to Isis, goddess of Love and Magic in ancient Egypt. Back to your river cruise for a free evening in Aswan.

Day 7Disembarkation - Fly back to Cairo
