Day 1 Arrival in Cairo, Egypt - Great Pyramids of Giza

One of our representatives will meet you at Cairo International Airport to help you through the arrival and visa regulations. Meet your guide outside the arrival terminal to begin your 6 Days Cairo Stay & Nile River Cruise from Netherlands. Enjoy a guided tour to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Your Egyptologist tour guide will explain to you how and why the Ancient Egyptian kings built the Pyramids. He will tell you about the mystery behind the pyramids. Transfer to your hotel. 

Overnight in Cairo

Day 2Fly to Aswan - Aswan Tour - Nile River Cruise

You will spend the next four days of your 6 days Cairo stay & Nile River cruise from the Netherlands on board a River Nile cruise. So, you will take a transfer from your hotel to Cairo Airport to fly to Aswan to begin your 3-night Nile River Cruise from Aswan to Luxor.

Meet your guide just outside the arrival terminal at Aswan Airport to commence your tour. Your first stop will be at the High Dam, a dam built in the 1960s, to generate hydroelectricity and to stop floods. Then take a motorboat to explore the Temple of Philae, which was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and is one of the most incredible temples in Egypt. It was due to the construction of the two dams in Aswan that UNESCO had to relocate the temple. End your journey at the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk

Transfer to your Nile cruise ship. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 3Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu

Enjoy a free morning onboard your Nile cruise ship or join us on an optional tour to the phenomenal temples of Abu Simbel.

In the afternoon the Nile cruise ship sails down to Kom Ombo where you can visit the temple which the Egyptians dedicated it to two gods, Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. At the end of your tour, you will have a short visit to the Crocodile Museum then the ship will proceed down to Edfu, where it will dock. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 4Edfu - Esna - Luxor

After or before breakfast, you will take a horse-drawn carriage to visit Edfu’s Temple of Horus, which was built during the Greco-Roman era and is the most intact temple in Egypt. The Temple of Edfu is fully inscribed with reliefs and hieroglyphs on its exterior and interior walls. 

Take your carriage back to your river cruise to set sail to Luxor via the Lock of Esna.

Once you reach Luxor, you will have the chance to visit the largest temple in Egypt, the Temple of Karnak, which was built by several pharaohs in ancient times. Then proceed the majestic Temple of Luxor, which is connected to Karnak by the ceremonial avenue of the Sphinxes which was recently restored. These temples were dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, the Theban Triad. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 5Luxor West Bank - Fly back to Cairo

You will disembark from your cruise ship after breakfast in order to explore the western side of Luxor. In the first part of your tour, you will explore the magnificent tombs of the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried to hide from grave robbers. A total of 65 tombs can be found in the Valley of the Kings. Your guide will recommend the top three tombs that are open to the public that you should visit.
Then, you will proceed to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the female pharaoh who served as a solo pharaoh for about 20 years after convincing the people that she was a man. You will then visit the Colossi of Memnon which lies in the Temple of Amenhotep III.

Transfer to Luxor Airport to fly back to Cairo. Transfer to your hotel for the last night of your 6 days Cairo Stay & Nile River cruise from Netherland. Overnight in Cairo.
