This 4 day honeymoon in Egypt is a short private trip for two, based in one Cairo hotel for all three nights. There is no packing and unpacking and no internal flight. You have two full days of sightseeing with your own guide and driver, and the pace is yours to set.
The first day belongs to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, followed by an afternoon in the lanes of Khan El-Khalili. The second day takes you through the Grand Egyptian Museum and ends on the water, with a private felucca sail on the Nile.
It suits couples who have only a few days, and couples who want to add Egypt to a longer honeymoon elsewhere. It is one of our Egypt honeymoon tours, all of which are private.
| Day | What you do | Meals |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Arrive in Cairo, private transfer to your hotel | None |
| 2 | Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and Khan El-Khalili bazaar | Breakfast, lunch |
| 3 | Grand Egyptian Museum and a private felucca sail on the Nile | Breakfast, lunch |

With one more day, the 5 day Egypt honeymoon tour package adds more of Egypt. To finish on the beach, see the 6 day Egypt honeymoon tour of Cairo and Hurghada. For the river, the 4 night Luxor to Aswan honeymoon Nile cruise sails between the great temples of Upper Egypt. All are listed on our Egypt honeymoon tours page.
Our representative meets you inside the arrivals hall at Cairo International Airport with a signboard and helps you through the visa and passport formalities. A private vehicle takes you to your hotel, and the evening is yours.
Meals: No meals
Your guide collects you from the hotel for the Giza Plateau. You see the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, built more than 4,500 years ago, and then the Great Sphinx. Your guide knows where to stand for photographs of the two of you with all three pyramids behind you. Going inside a pyramid is possible with an extra ticket.
After lunch at a local restaurant you drive into old Cairo for Khan El-Khalili, a bazaar that has traded since the 14th century. You walk its lanes of lanterns, spices, perfume and brass, with time to stop for mint tea in one of its old coffee houses. You return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch
After breakfast you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum beside the pyramids. The colossal statue of Ramses II greets you in the entrance hall. Your guide leads you up the Grand Staircase and through the Tutankhamun galleries, where the golden mask and the full contents of the tomb are shown together.
After lunch at a local restaurant you board a private felucca on the Nile. The crew raises the sail and the boat moves quietly along the river with the city on both banks, a calm end to the day as the light softens towards sunset. You then return to your hotel for your last night.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch
After breakfast a private vehicle takes you to Cairo Airport for your flight. If you have more time, you can continue to a honeymoon Nile cruise or to the Red Sea.
