Day 1 Arrive in Amman, Jordan

Touch down in Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport, where a friendly representative from Egypt Best Vacations will greet you with a warm smile. Navigate arrival formalities and visa regulations with ease, then set off on your breathtaking Egypt and Jordan tour, your hotel room awaiting.

Day 2Full-Day Petra

Your 13-day Egypt Jordan tour takes you to Petra. Visit in a full day the very famous Petra ruins. Petra or the Rose City is famous for its distinctive red sandstone. This remarkable city of temples and houses was carved out of sheer rock some 2,000 years ago by a nomadic people called the Nabataeans. From this stone stronghold, they were able to control the ancient trade routes of Arabia, establishing a kingdom that became known for its exquisite architecture and refined culture. Making your way on foot through a slim fissure in the rock of the ‘Siq’ mountains you will encounter the dramatic treasury plus the Street of Facades, the Court House and the Amphitheatre. If there is time you can even climb the 1,200 steps to the Monastery. Then, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3Visit Jerash & Nebo

Visit the ruined City of Jerash, the largest and most interesting Roman site in Jordan. Jerash or Jarash, is one of the world’s best preserved ancient Roman sites. Once known as Gerasa, Jerash is believed to have been inhabited since the Neolithic Era. However, it is the impressive Roman city built in Jerash which has left its greatest mark on the area, becoming Jordan’s second most popular tourist site after Petra. Day 7Fly to Luxor - Nile River Cruise Vacation

Your Egypt and Jordan vacation bids farewell to Cairo’s bustling streets and soar above the desert sands to Luxor, where the majestic Nile awaits. Your four-night Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan promises enchanting sunsets, ancient wonders, and the rhythmic lullaby of the river. Meet your guide just outside the arrival terminal at Luxor Airport to commence your tour.

Explore the Temple of Karnak. It is the largest temple in Egypt. Its vast halls, towering columns, and sacred sanctuaries reveal the greatness of Thebes during the New Kingdom. Then, proceed to the majestic Temple of Luxor. Luxor Temple is one of the most beautiful ancient temples in Egypt. Built mainly by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. It was dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship and the glory of ancient Thebes. Both temples were dedicated to Theban Triad; Amun, Mut and Khonsu. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 8Visit Kings Valley, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon

Visit the glorious tombs of the Valley of the Kings. The pharaohs during the New Kingdom ceased building pyramids and cut their tombs deep into the mountain trying to hide them from grave robbers. There are 65 tombs in the Valley of the Kings, your guide will recommend the best three tombs of the ones open to visit. From the glorious Valley of the Kings to the unique temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut who served as a solo pharaoh for about 20 years. You will end your trip at the giant Colossi of Memnon which survives from the temple of pharaoh Amenhotep III. Then, return back to your Nile cruise ship to set sail to Edfu via the Lock of Esna. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 9Explore Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

Take a horse and carriage to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. This temple is the most intact temple in Egypt, and it was built during the Greco-Roman period. The Temple of Edfu is fully inscribed with reliefs and hieroglyphs on its exterior and interior walls. Visiting Edfu Temple adds a great value to your Egypt and Jordan holiday. Take your carriage back to your Nile cruise to set sail to Kom Ombo. 

Disembark at Kom Ombo to visit the twin Temple of Horus and Sobek. The temple was built over the ruined temple of the New Kingdom. The temple began during the time of Ptolemy V and was completed by the time of Emperor Tiberius. The emperors Domitian, Caracalla, and others added to the temple. So it took about 400 years to finish. Enjoy a short visit to the Crocodile Museum, before you go back to your Nile cruise ship to set sail to Aswan where it moors for the next two days. Savor your breakfast, then explore the wonders of the beautiful City of Aswan such as the High Dam, the largest day was built in 1960s. Philae Temple was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and is one of the most incredible temples in Egypt. It was due to the construction of the two dams in Aswan that UNESCO had to relocate the temple. End your Aswan tour at the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk. Day 12Coptic Cairo, Saladin Citadel and Khan El-Khalili Tour

Following your breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Citadel of Saladin, which was built in 1172 to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. At the citadel, you can visit the White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha, which is one of its most prominent features. Continue to Coptic Cairo District to visit the Hanging Church. The Hanging Church is one of the oldest and most famous Christian churches in Egypt. It is admired for its beautiful wooden ceiling, historic icons, and deep connection to Egypt’s Coptic heritage.

Continue to Abu Serga Church. The Church of Abu Serga, also known as Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church. All our prices are in USD per person per trip. You can also make your payment online through a secure payment gateway with no additional fees or surcharges. We accept USD, Euros, GBP, CAD, AUD and NZD.

The starting price is for one adult in a twin room on a group tour. It shows the lowest price during the low season. There’s a single supplement for single accommodation.

Tipping

Tipping is not included in our tour packages and is left entirely to your discretion. While it is not mandatory, it is greatly appreciated by the people who assist you during your journey.

Here is a suggested tipping list:

Driver – full day             $3-5 per person per day.

Driver – transfer           $1-3 per person per day.

Tour guide – full day     $15-20 per person per day.

Tour guide – half day    $10-15 per person per day.

Representative / tour leader    $3-5 per person per day.

Nile cruise crew              $5–10 per person per night paid at the end of the cruise.

Dahabiya Nile cruise crew     $10-20 per person per night at the end of the cruise.

  • Children from 0-2 years pay 30% of the adult price.
  • Children from 3-5 years pay 40% of the adult price.
  • Children from 6-11 years pay 50% of the adult price.

Cancellation Policy

We do not charge cancellation fees for tours canceled due to ‘force majeure’ events such as natural disasters or other uncontrollable circumstances. However, if you cancel for personal or business reasons after we have incurred booking costs on your behalf, these costs will be charged to you.

  • From the date of booking up to 75 days before the date of your arrival, 10% of the total tour price will be charged.
  • Between 74 and 61 days before your arrival date, 25% of the total tour price will be charged.
  • Between 60 and 30 days before your arrival date, 50% of the total tour price will be charged.
  • Between 29 and 15 days before your arrival date, 75% of the total tour price will be charged.
  • Between 14 and 08 days before your arrival date, 90% of the total tour price will be charged.
  • Between 07 and 1 day before your arrival date, 100% of the total tour price will be charged.

Deposit and Payment

A deposit between 25-50% is required to secure your booking through a payment link. The remaining balance will also be paid through payment links.

Extra Expenses & Additional Entry Tickets

Our tours do not include entrance fees for special archaeological sites such as:

  • Walking inside the pyramids.
  • Tombs of Seti I and Ramses V in the Valley of the Kings
  • Entering the Tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.

These attractions require an additional fee. Please contact us if you would like to add or adjust anything in your itinerary.

Other personal expenses during your trip may include:
