Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Cairo, Egypt

Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Meet and assist by our representative of “Egypt Best Vacations” who will help you through the arrival and visa regulations. Transfer to your hotel for free time.

Day 2Giza Great Pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara

Your actual Egypt 9-day solo tour from Australia & New Zealand (Egypt with Felucca cruise) just starts right now.

Today, you will visit the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still remains (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. Are you ready to discover it from the inside?
Today you will learn about the history of the pyramids, how they were constructed, and why they were constructed. Then on to the first pyramid in history, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser at Saqqara

Transfer to Giza Railway to board your sleeper train to Aswan to begin your 3-night felucca cruise.

Day 3Aswan Tour - Felucca cruise

Arrival at Aswan Railway. Meet with your guide to commence your tour to the High Dam, the beautiful Philae Temple, and the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk.
Board your Felucca cruise. Enjoy the Nile landscape in Aswan. Lunch and dinner on board. Stop on the banks for a peaceful night.

Day 4Camel Market

Breakfast and disembarkation. Drive to the famous Camel Market (every Saturday and Sunday). Set sail to Kom Ombo to overnight there. 

Day 5Kom Ombo Temple

Breakfast then visit the twin Temple of Horus and Sobek together with the Crocodile Museum in Kom Ombo. Set sail to Gabal El-Silsilah to overnight there. Lunch and dinner will be served onboard your Felucca cruise.

Day 6Disembarkation - Luxor

Breakfast then disembarkation. Visit the sandstone quarry of Gabal El-Silsilah together with the rock-cut temple of Horemheb. Drive from Gabal El-Silsilah to Edfu to visit the most intact temple in Egypt, the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant then transfer to your hotel in Luxor.

Day 7Luxor highlights - Train back to Cairo

Visit the magnificent Valley of the Kings, the unique Temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, and the giant Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank of Luxor.

Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant, then proceed to visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor

Transfer to Luxor Railway to board your sleeper train to Cairo.

Day 8Egyptian Museum, Saladin Citadel and Khan El-Khalili

From Giza Railway to explore the fantastic contents of the historical Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square in Cairo. Hundreds of objects from all periods of Egypt’s past are displayed on the two floors of the museum.

From the museum to the Citadel of the Sunni Muslim leader Saladin, which was built in 1172 to protect Cairo against the Crusaders. The White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha is a prominent feature of the citadel.
You will finish your tour today at the historical bazaar of Khan El-Khalili, the largest bazaar in the Middle East.
